Tropical Storm Earl388 viewsBoth Mattapoisett and Marion docks were busy spots last week when the National Weather Service issued a Hurricane Warning to the region. Plymouth county, in addition to Cape Cod, the Islands, and Bristol county, prepared for Hurricane Earl, a category 3 hurricane that stood the potential to make landfall in southeastern Massachusetts. Azorean Maritime 400 viewsThe Azorean Maritime Heritage Society in New Bedford, MA is hosting about 70 people from the Azores in early September 2010 for the International Azorean Whaleboat Regatta with teams from USA, racing against teams from Pico and Faial.
