Tanker Donation292 viewsThis surplus tanker truck has been repaired and prepared by the Town of Rochester for its impending transport to the fire department in Cayce, Kentucky, a small town devastated by a December 10 tornado. Rochester’s donation is a good fit because the tanker truck was recently replaced and serves the dual purpose necessary to serve a town without fire hydrants. Photos by Mick Colageo

Rochester Historical Commission303 viewsOn December 4, the Rochester Historical Commission presented a plaque to the Women’s Club noting the building's age. The plaque was attached to the building by George Owen and Tim Bates. These plaques are being donated by the commission to some of the town buildings used by the community with a hope of sharing town history. We will be extending this to residents who will be able to purchase a plaque for their historic home.
