Mattapoisett Recreation's Seahorse Summer Explorer Program395 viewsMattapoisett Recreation's Seahorse Summer Explorer Program kicked off on Tuesday, June 26. The first week’s theme was “Sensational Science” and included a visit from Mad Science of Southern MA & RI. "The Flight Stuff" show was a favorite with multiple rocket launchings. Seahorse Explorers runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with extended care options available. Upcoming themes include: Where the Wild Things Are, Seahorse Gives Back, Under the Sea, and Amazing Seahorse Race.

Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Garden Tour463 viewsThe Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Garden Tour “Nature’s Treasures” held on June 30 was “Magnificent”, declared Ellen Flynn. Flynn said that the event brought in more than $6,000 - monies that are earmarked for their scholarship fund. She said visitors were awed by the gardens graciously opened for viewing from iconic harbor homes to those set in peaceful rural uplands along the Mattapoisett River Valley.
