Brad Hathaway365 viewsIt took 32 years, but on October 3 Mattapoisett resident Brad Hathaway completed his “Walk around the World” along Aucoot Road, accompanied by well over 100 friends and supporters of his mission refocused some years ago from what had begun as a fitness prescription to a fundraising effort for the Mattapoisett Land Trust. Hathaway, 88, is a co-founder of the MLT and has dedicated his life toward preserving and protecting lands that his ancestors first came upon hundreds of years ago.

RBG350 viewsRegina McIntyre of Angelica Avenue in Mattapoisett erected a small but poignant memorial outside her home to honor Ruth Bader Ginsburg following the Supreme Court Justice’s passing. “I couldn’t travel to Washington, so I decided to place this memorial here to remember her work on behalf of both women and men,” adding: “She was such an example, (a) role model.” It was a family affair as McIntyre’s sister dressed the Ginsburg doll in a hand-sewn robe complete with seed pearl collar and red shoes.
