Nearly every seat in the hall was taken up by local seniors chowing down on a full turkey dinner; which also included apple pie for dessert. Last weekend at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, art created by students of Ms. Greta Anderson’s art class at Old Hammondtown School was on display. But not just any art, this was for the Annual Arbor Day Poster Contest sponsored by the state and the Mattapoisett Tree Committee.
