The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial located between the National Mall and Potomac River. After extensive planning lasting a few decades, the memorial finally opened in 2011. The address of the memorial is 1964 Independence Avenue, the same year Dr. King won the Nobel Peace Prize.
