The Rochester Bakery and Cafe, a longtime local hang-out at Plumb Corner, was destroyed in a catastrophic fire on the evening of July 28, 2011. Eyewitnesses described the fire as starting with several explosions at the rear of the building. The blaze displaced two residents and three businesses.
