A trash truck was up in smoke on Long Plain Road in Mattapoisett last week. Before I knew it, engines and firemen appeared in full gear. The Fire Department had the driver dump all the trash in a field near the road where the fire could be more safely extinguished. Photo by Ellie Higgins
