A crowd of Rochester citizens, young and old, gathered outside Town Hall late afternoon on Monday for the annual lighting of the town's Christmas tree. The Select Board, scheduled to meet at 6:00 pm, participated in the 5:00 pm activity, while Santa Claus and the Grinch also made triumphant appearances.
