Both Marion and Mattapoisett held their Annual Town Meetings on Monday. Residents participated in the direct democracy votes on various articles in a longstanding continuation of the practice from colonial times. Of the many articles voted upon, in Marion all were passed except Article 43, the Citizen’s Petition which was passed over to fall and in Mattapoisett all were passed except Article 27 which was voted against.
