Crocodile River Music21 viewsOn Saturday, May 17, as part of Art Week, the Marion Arts Center presented Crocodile River Music performing West African music and dance in Marion's Music Hall to an audience of about 70 people. A few children danced happily along with members of Crocodile River Music during several pieces. For the final piece of the event, almost everyone was up and dancing. The energy was terrific. The paintings evoke nature’s many moods through tonal interpretations. The exhibit is open until June 15. On June 7, Stone will give a gallery talk at 11:00 am. Rochester’s Memorial Day21 viewsStudent participation was at the forefront of Rochester’s Memorial Day weekend ceremonies held on Sunday at the Senior Center, Town Hall and Daggett Square. Boy Scout Troop 31 posted the colors, and music was provided by the Rochester Memorial School Band and The Showstoppers, who recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang a patriotic medley.
