“Q” and “U” 173 viewsDeborah Bacciocchi’s kindergarten class at RMS celebrated a wedding of “Q” and “U” on May 16. The bride (a wooden letter "Q") wore a gown sewn with pieces from Bacchiocchi’s wedding gown and the groom wore mixed media/Sharpie formalwear. Tour de Crème173 viewsThe Mattapoisett Land Trust in tandem with the Mattapoisett Bike Path Committee held its first Tour de Crème on Sunday, May 22. The fundraiser brought groups on three different courses – 13-, 25-, and 48-miles long – winding their way through area towns and making stops at various local ice cream parlors. Local restaurants and cafés dole out servings of their specialty foods for ticket holders to the event hosted by the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club. Harbor Days 173 viewsHarbor Days came to Mattapoisett this past weekend, and many visitors were gracious enough to spin The Wanderer Wheel for a $1 donation to the Lions Club. Those who played helped raise an extra $523 the Lions Club will use to benefit the community.
