There are 115 stairs to the top of the tower which is constructed of local limestone with walls measuring 4 meters thick. Commander Michael Lamoureux served as emcee of the event while State Representative William Straus, Selectman Paul Silva, Veterans’ Agent Barry Denham and U.S. Navy Lieutenant Scott Burrill addressed the audience.
