Children and their grandparents had fun playing bean-bag toss, bocce, posing with the Three Stooges, and more. The face-painting and petting zoo areas were a complete hit! Over 20 girls dressed in their pink and red finest enjoyed dainty finger foods, festive cupcakes, red fruit punch, and tea. All over Marion, there were people in day-glo vests working with “Manducas”, long pincers made by Marion resident Eunice Manduca for picking up trash. Revelers enjoyed the patriotic music of Phil Sanborn and the Marion Concert Band while brilliant colors illuminated the harbor.
