Emily Dickinson Museum325 viewsFrances DuBois, Judy Ferrari, George Hall and Cecelia Hall made the two hour trip from Rochester to the Emily Dickinson Museum in Amherst, MA, for the Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Fridays program on August 22. The four were part of a group from the Rochester Senior Center.

Classic Cars325 viewsClassic car enthusiasts from the area gathered Monday nights throughout the summer, riding up in their shiny antique cars and pulling up a lawn chair to sit back and reminisce about the good old days to the sounds of music from the ‘50s and ‘60s. There were no star sightings, however Rochester resident Hilary Wood was able to get some photos of the action from her front yard, after the surprise of an Amish-driven horse and carriage caught her eye as it passed her window on Hartley Road. Raising over $7,000, owner/operator Pam Robinson said this year’s event was “absolutely over the top!” The shelter is in the process of building an addition to create a cat room and a porch. “I cannot thank everyone enough for their wonderful donation and participation,” said Robinson.
