Escorted by several Rochester policemen on foot, participants who had gathered in front of Town Hall marched down Dexter Lane to the police station, where several individuals spoke about racism and told stories of discrimination based on skin color. Children and their grandparents had fun playing bean-bag toss, bocce, posing with the Three Stooges, and more. The face-painting and petting zoo areas were a complete hit! Car Show Dreams341 views108 cars attended the A Wish Come True car show on October 11, 2009 at Rochesters Plumb Corner. Each vehicle owner paid to attend the show, and the proceeds went to the organization, which works to grant wishes to children ages 3-18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. Tree Sales341 views'Tis the season, once more! On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 26, 2011, locals stopped by the Rochester Women's Clubhouse to pick up their fresh wreaths and trees. The proceeds from the sale helped the Rochester Women's Club purchase a new roof for their Clubhouse. The tree and wreath sale will continue on the weekends of December 3 and 4 and December 10 and 11 from noon to 2:00 pm.
