Marion Recreation Department Lifeguards 393 viewsOn July 18 the Marion Recreation Department Lifeguards conducted a training drill at Silvershell Beach. Each week the lifeguards conduct training drills throughout the summer season. This particular drill was done with the Marion Harbormaster's Department and the Marion Fire/EMS Department.

Marion 5K392 viewsApproximately 448 runners participated in the 14th Annual Marion Village 5K on June 26, 2010. The community race raised approximately $6,000 for the Marion Recreational Committee that maintains playground equipment, baseball fields and otherwise enhances the recreational opportunities in Marion. 22-year old Brendan Medeiros of Fall River finished in first place with a time of 16:47. The 2013 Winter Members Exhibition features over 60 works by about 30 local artists, some well-known and some new to the local art scene.
