Halloween Parade124 viewsThe streets of Marion were flooded with Halloween Parade participants and attendees, as members of the Sippican Elementary School Band helped the “witches” of the Marion Art Center lead a procession that began at the Music Hall and went down Front Street, up Main Street past the Elizabeth Taber statue and onto Spring Street, where children were met at Town House by staff members handing out candy for the kids. Our group had a blast making ornaments (and eating junk food) during the event, and everyone brought home an ornament or two to share with the family.

Along with perusing guidebooks to identify an item, we learned the importance of the history of the artifact, where and when it was collected and by whom. The first-floor gallery perfectly fits the mostly petite still-life paintings done by Anne and in this exhibit.
