Llama Visit24 viewsLauren and Jeff Paine from Pine Meadow Farm in Mattapoisett brought Chocolate and Patience to visit the children at the Loft School on October 20. The Pre-K class has been learning about Peru this month. The children had a chance to ask questions, see what Alpacas eat, feel their shorn fur and pet their new friends. In November, Pine Meadow Farm will be holding an Open House, where the public can visit the animals and purchase unique products. Courtesy photo

Marion Natural History Museum 24 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum community group and the Nasketucket Bird Club had a wonderful birding walk on November 16 led by Justin Barrett. We were able to identify over 18 different species of birds including belted kingfishers, golden-crowned kinglets, and red-breasted Nuthatches. We were also able to see two River Otters peering at us from the icy pond. Keep watching the Museum's website, marionmuseum.org, for future birding trips. Photo courtesy of Elizabeth Leidhold
