Marion Natural History Museum126 viewsOn June 8, the Marion Natural History Museum’s afterschool group enjoyed a wonderful trip to Ram Island in Marion. The students watched various crabs in the salt marsh, visited several of the occupied Osprey nests and walked the shoreline looking for shells. We also had the opportunity to visit Clara and Darcy, the Moore’s pet donkeys. Fire Department Open House126 viewsOn October 10 and 11, Marion and Mattapoisett Fire Departments held open houses featuring plenty of fun for children of all ages. The occasion was the National Fire Prevention Week.
Since 1922, the National Fire Protection Association has been helping local fire departments with educational materials related to fire safety.

Nolan Fest125 viewsThe first-ever Nolan Fest was held on July 11 at Silvershell Beach in Marion to honor the late Nolan Gibbons, who tragically passed away on August 18, 2020. The festival featured live music and words presented by area and national contributors, along with video tributes and a fire show.
