Marion Natural History Museum141 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum recently held a workshop on the many apps available to help people identify birds in the field. Justin Barrett, Nasketucket Bird Club president and museum board member, went over how best to use apps from Audubon, Cornell, Sibley and many others. We also learned how to record a bird or birds and have each one identified by call simultaneously. The museum wishes to thank Justin for his interesting presentation, and we look forward to our next walk

We also looked at some of our aquatic invertebrates, such as Water boatman, Caddisfly larvae and others that help by breaking down the leaves at the bottom of the pool and starting the forest food chain.
