Marion Natural History Museum201 viewsOn Wednesday, Dec. 10th, the Marion Natural History Museum afterschool group enjoyed working on crafts from nature and recycled materials. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this such a happy and fun-filled event. Many, many thanks to Grace Moran for her kind donation of frames complete with glass, which the students used to create their own masterpieces for gift-giving. Members were allowed to submit up to three pieces, and MAC Executive Director Deborah Bokelkamp said members not only have artistic skill, but they possess the skill of self-expression. “The person doing it feels it,” said Bokelkamp. “It’s not just the act, it’s the expression.” The show runs until February 28. The Sippican Lands Trust wants to thank the Town because the platform would not have been possible without funding from the Community Preservation Act Fund. This platform is more stable, bigger and overall safer for visitors to our property.

Each teacher devised their own scavenger hunt for the kids that helped the students discover their classrooms.
