Dan Crete and his family sought to add this one-of-a-kind addition to their home to be used as a gathering place for his friends and family using no nails, handmade pegs, a lot of manpower and a little bit of Yankee ingenuity. Sweet Charity508 viewsMembers of the ORR Student Council recently raised $1,600 for My Sister’s Keeper Charity, a women-led humanitarian action group co-founded by Liz Walker, anchorwoman for Channel 4 News in Boston. With this donation they will be able to supply 50 girls with books, paper, uniforms, and writing utensils for the entire school year.

The exhibition will be installed in both galleries at the Marion Art Center, located on the corner of Main and Pleasant Streets in Marion through April 9. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 to 5:00 pm and Saturdays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission is free.
