Breakfast with Santa234 viewsMarion’s Police Brotherhood held its 3rd annual toy drive and pancake breakfast with Santa at Sippican School on December 6. Families were asked to bring new unwrapped toys, and in return they were given a delicious pancake breakfast and a photo with Santa. Marion Natural History Museum234 viewsLast week the Marion Natural History Museum’s afterschool crew explored a variety of ways to identify trees without their leaves. By looking at bark, leaf scar arrangement and even using their sense of smell, the students had a chance to explore trees and woody shrubs without their usual foliage. Marion Boy Scouts234 viewsTroop 32 Marion Boy Scouts and their parents went on a ski trip on February 22, 2015 to Ragged Mountain. Some of what Boy Scouts is about is exposure to new things, so Ragged Mountain was a good choice as a beginner’s mountain. Two of the Scouts and two of the parents (and even a Scout sibling) started the day with a beginner’s lesson, Chris Horton on a snowboard.

5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot234 viewsThere were 31 registered runners for this year’s 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot for Marion Recreation on Sunday, November 22. The course takes runners from Tabor Academy down Front Street through the village and back again to Tabor. The students explored Meadow Island and enjoyed some of the local attractions of our harbor from the water.
