Stars & Stripes Forever Musical Revue234 viewsThe Marion Art Center staged the “Stars & Stripes Forever Musical Revue” last weekend to packed crowds. The rousing show mimicked a USO event, with the audience being entertained as the “troops.” The production featured the “Swanson Sisters from Sheboygan: Dixie, Trixie & Pixie,” (played by Caroline Blaise, Pam Breton, and Denise Bastos) and was hosted by the hilariously funny “Frankie B. Sharpe” (played by Eric Bosworth). The MAC theatre was set up cabaret style, and guests brought their own refreshments.

Marion Boy Scouts234 viewsThe Scouts of Troop 32 Marion Boy Scouts went on a backpacking and camping trip on October 4 and 5 at Camp Yawgoog in Hopkington, Rhode Island. With all of their gear on their backs, the Scouts hiked five miles, including a long leg that went around Yawgoog Pond. This included setting up camp at two different locations for two different nights: Sherwood Forest and Hidden Lake. Annual Holiday Shop at the MAC234 viewsCrowds came out in force for the 30th Annual Holiday Shop at the Marion Art Center on Friday evening. Breakfast with Santa234 viewsMarion’s Police Brotherhood held its 3rd annual toy drive and pancake breakfast with Santa at Sippican School on December 6. Families were asked to bring new unwrapped toys, and in return they were given a delicious pancake breakfast and a photo with Santa.
