Antique Car Show235 viewsOn Saturday, July 21, the Marion Recreation Department held their second annual Antique Car Show on the lawn at Silvershell Beach. Marion Art Center Show235 viewsThe Marion Art Center unveiled its new show in a special opening reception at the gallery on Friday, January 11. The 2013 Winter Members Exhibition features over 60 works by about 30 local artists, some well-known and some new to the local art scene. This is the first of two bi-annual shows that showcase work by members of MAC, from oil paintings to multi-media. Check out some of the great art work being created by Tri-Town artists. Pinewood Derby235 viewsOn Saturday, March 2nd 2013, The Cubs Scout Pack 32 held a pinewood derby at the Community Hall of the Congregational Church in Marion. The results were 1st Lucas Marcolini, 2nd Brendan Hubbard, 3rd Nathaniel Bangs, and 4th Nate Robertson. All four move on to regional finals in New Bedford later this month. Billy Joel Tribute 235 views“Falling of the Rain,” may not be the biggest hit of Billy Joel produced but the Billy Joel Tribute at Silvershell beach on Saturday had no shortage of falling rain. Dozens of die hard supporters showed up despite the rain to help support the Marion Police Brotherhood and to hear the “Eric Robert: Billy Joel Tribute.” It must be true, “you can’t stop the falling of the rain!” or stop the fans.
