Marion Natural History Museum375 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's after-school group enjoyed working on crafts made from natural and recycled materials last Wednesday. This was the last after-school program for 2015, and the students had a chance to have some fun decorating as well as enjoying snacks and slides of the past year's programs. Pizza with Santa375 viewsIt’s never Christmas in Marion until you’ve sat on Santa’s lap followed by a slice of pizza. Sunday was the annual Pizza with Santa, hosted by the Marion Police Brotherhood. Marion Town Party375 viewsChalk up another successful Marion Town Party as several hundred party-goers found good food and fun on the grounds of the Town House on 8/25. Children of all ages enjoyed inflatable games, climbing the rock wall, or jumping around to music. The annual party has its roots deep in the community and may have started as early at 1900. This year’s event featured live entertainment, a scavenger hunt, and lots of good food.

Derby Days374 viewsOn Saturday, January 30, 2010 Marion's Scouts Pack 32 held the first Pine Wood Derby in three years. The Derby was held at the Sippican School where scouts raced cars weighing less than 5 ounces down a sloped wooden track. Everyone cheered as the wooden cars raced down the track in packs or four.
