Historic Fire385 viewsAccording to the Marion assessors database, the house was built in 1690. Other records indicate that the house suffered a fire in the early 1700s, and was rebuilt in 1750. The extent of the rebuild is unknown. Like many 17th century homes, this house originally had a center chimney that will be completely removed with the move.

appointed Elisabeth “Libby” O’Neil as the new Head Librarian at the
Elizabeth Taber Library in Marion. She will take the place of Judith
Kleven who is retiring May 31 after 26 years.
Before accepting this job, O’Neil was the Youth and Community Outreach
Librarian for the Boston Public Library at Copley Square, Boston and was
the former Children’s Librarian at the South Boston Branch of the Boston
Public Library. Ms. O’Neil will start on June 3, 2013
