Scouts raced carts down Holmes Street in Marion for a chance to help make their den the fastest in the pack. Penny Project317 viewsSince September 2009, the Marion Community Baptist Church has been participating in the Penny Project. Each Sunday, people dropped change into a collection jar on the communion table. On March 21, 2010, the Church presented two grants to two local agencies and two schools. The pouring rain didnt stop Santa from spreading candy and holiday cheer to the crowd of exciting children. Annual Tree Sale316 viewsA Decorating Committee from the Sippican Womans Club produced over 50 festive trees for the Tree Spree, which started in Handys Tavern. The tavern was decked out with themed trees, including a Barbie tree, a Hannukah tree, a Mallard duck tree, and even a tree decorated with recycled items like bottles and plastic bags.
