The Scoop on S.C.O.P.E. 189 viewsORRJHS 7th-grade students participated in the annual S.C.O.P.E. cardboard boat race at the beach at the Mattapoisett YMCA last Wednesday, June 20. The students engineer and build their boats – some sink, some sail – and this year team “Funky Monkey” came in first place. There were 15 boats in all this year, all created by teams of four.
