High Winds and Waves376 viewsOn February 7, rain and high winds hit Southeastern Massachusetts, resulting in thousands of electrical outages. The hardest hit in the Tri-Town area was Rochester with more than 500 Eversource customers reporting wires down and service interruptions from mid-afternoon into the night. Annual Easter Hunt375 viewsOn Friday, April 2, 2010 Alden Court Nursing and Rehab Center hosted their Annual Easter Hunt, which brought in nearly 75 community children. The kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt hosted by the Easter Bunny and then a kids concert and interactive games hosted by local children's performer, Savannah the Rock Star. Zumbathon374 viewsThe ORR high school gymnasium was alive with music and movement on Sunday, April 11, 2010, when dancers took to the floor for a good cause. For a $30 contribution, participants could Zumba for three hours, and the proceeds of the Zumbathon went to Compassionate Care for ALS in Falmouth, a non-profit organization that provides equipment and support to families affected by ALS. The Zumbathon was in honor of Jeffrey Lawrence, a 47-year-old man living with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
