Flamingos Around Town219 viewsHave you been driving around the Tri-Town noticing a greater prevalence of lawn flamingos? Don't be alarmed! The plastic lawn ornaments are the Old Rochester Regional High School Cheerleaders' latest and most creative fundraiser. For $25, residents can have a friend's house decorated, or "flocked" with lawn flamingos. All money collected through the flocking will be used to send the squad to Walt Disney World in February. National Night Out219 viewsThe Tri-Town’s inaugural edition of National Night Out drew a big and enthusiastic crowd on Tuesday. Residents watched the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department’s Ken Ballinger demonstrate K-9 tactics, got a feel for SWAT, EMS, and Fire vehicles; and enjoyed pizza and ice cream. Strengthening Families Fair219 viewsThere was so much to do and discover on March 1 at the “Strengthening Families Fair”, funded by the Department of Early Education & Care, and coordinated by the Old Rochester Regional School District. From Westport to Falmouth, cyclists rode either the 75-mile or 35-mile route to raise funds for the Buzzards Bay Coalition, bringing in nearly $90,000.
