A parade began at the Dexter Lane baseball complex and made its way to Gifford Park, where ORYB’s David Arancio recognized the many years of service from Derek Mello, Peter Vieira and David Nelson, who all threw ceremonial first pitches. Old Rochester Regional Unified Basketball34 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Unified Basketball team capped off its 2022-23 season with a 72-51 victory over Tri-Town Police officers at the high school. Try as they might, the local officers were unable to contain ORR’s Unified team, made up of special-needs athletes and partners who together played a fall schedule of games against other schools.

Old Rochester Youth Football’s34 viewsOld Rochester Youth Football’s 12-and-under team was the last Massachusetts entry among the eight programs represented in the four New England Pop Warner Regional Championship games held on Saturday at New Milford (Connecticut) High School. The Bulldogs earned some opportunities, thanks to great defensive plays like Nicholas Giokas’ first-quarter interception, a fumble forced by Benjamin Baptiste and recovered by David Medeiros Jr.,

Old Rochester Regional Unified Basketball Team34 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Unified Basketball Team dominated Tri-Town Fire and Police to the delight of a packed ORR gymnasium on November 21. ORR seniors Traeh Carrington, John Butler and Jake Newton were recognized. Police chiefs Jason King (Mattapoisett), Robert Small (Rochester) and Richard Nighelli (Marion) presented $200 each from their respective departments to ORR’s Unified sports program, and nearly $2,700 was raised in ticket, T-shirt and concession sales.
