Plymouth Sands Trail Riders 312 viewsOn Sunday, October 28, the Plymouth Sands Trail Riders bike club held a hare scramble at the Mattapoisett landfill. The club, which boasts over 300 members from all around New England, had over 100 riders participate in the event. Riders from teens up to seniors took off for the 40 minute races around the 2.5 mile wooded track. Tabor Hockey312 viewsOn Sunday, January 6, the Tabor Academy Varsity B Hockey Team hosted Academie St. Louis from Quebec, Canada for a non-conference game. Once a year, a team travels down from Canada, and while the Seawolves were not victorious, the game proved to be a learning experience for the players facing off in an international match up. Old Rochester Youth Football’s312 viewsOld Rochester Youth Football’s 12-and-under team was the last Massachusetts entry among the eight programs represented in the four New England Pop Warner Regional Championship games held on Saturday at New Milford (Connecticut) High School. The Bulldogs earned some opportunities, thanks to great defensive plays like Nicholas Giokas’ first-quarter interception, a fumble forced by Benjamin Baptiste and recovered by David Medeiros Jr.,

Old Rochester Regional Youth Football311 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Youth Football teams are hitting the fields hard in order to prepare for their upcoming 2012 season. This year marks the seventh year for the program. With over 150 players in the program, there are six teams and a dedicated staff of coaches and parents for a support system. The Bulldogs will play their first game on Labor Day Weekend. Pictures by Katy Fitzpatrick.

ORR Track311 viewsOld Rochester Regional High School indoor track and field team took first in most of the events of the meet held at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School on Monday, December 31. ORR was in competition against several area high schools including GNB and Fairhaven High School. In the races, the ORR girls took first place in the 50 HH, 50 D, 600M, 300M, and 1M.
