Marion Natural History Museum65 viewsMany thanks to soil scientist Maggie Payne for her fun and fascinating program about composting with worms. We had a close up look at Red Wiggler worms and they definitely lived up to their name by jumping about during the program. We had a chance to inspect them using magnifying glasses and microscopes trying to determine which end was which. We then created a habitat for them with shredded paper and leftover vegetables. Each student had a chance to bring their worm farm home. Mar 26, 2025

We also heard the different calls of the frogs from the Wood Frog’s “quack” to the Green Frog’s banjo “twang.” To register for frog watch training you may contact the Roger Williams Park and Zoo.
