Marion Natural History Museum149 viewsOn February 14, the Marion Natural History Museum afterschool group had a great time dissecting owl pellets. The students located skulls, both rodent and avian, and other assorted bones. After identification and close inspection under microscopes, these were then mounted on project boards to bring home. The Marion Natural History museum wishes to thank Tabor Academy volunteers Camden Jeppsin, Eddy Yeon, Noah Divon, Ryan Francis and Sulaiman Al Harthy for their help with this project. Rail Trail121 viewsFriday afternoon provided an opportunity to venture out behind the Benson Brook Landfill to long-abandoned train tracks that will be transformed into a stretch of the Marion Shared Use Path. This view looks west toward Mattapoisett. In the opposite direction, the bike path will cross Route 105, Washburn Park and out to Point Road. Photo by Mick ColageoFeb 21, 2024
