Rochester Tractor Pull168 viewsIf you were anywhere near the Rochester Country Fair grounds on Saturday, you heard the familiar sounds of revving tractor engines echoing throughout the town. The country fair committee held a tractor pull/swap fundraiser on April 29. Those who attended got an early taste of the sights, sounds, and smells of the Rochester Country Fair with dirt flying, engines blasting, and diesel smoke billowing up into the air. Shoolman Reserve243 viewsIf you've been to the Shoolman Reserve on New Bedford Road recently, you’ve been greeted by quite a mess. A project to restore the Shoolman Reserve Hayfield to its historic boundary is underway. Volunteers Bruce MacPhail, Mike Bare, Art Benner, Noreen Hartley, Mike Hugeunin, Bob Lawrence, and Pete Stroud have made quite a dent thus far, and quite a lot of piles. Plans are to complete cutting and disposal of trees this spring. Volunteers are welcome, call 508-675-LAND (5263) or email info@rochesterlandtrust.Mar 22, 2017
