Museum Mural369 viewsA large 6 by 16 foot Clifford Ashley mural was donated to the Mattapoisett Museum by Polly Phipps of 20 Water Street. The mural, which depicts the Southcoast of Massachusetts from the Connecticut River to the Cape and Islands, hung in the Water Street home for 90 years before being donated to the Museum. Mattapoisett Historical Society President Seth Mendell said that after the mural is professionally restored, it will be mounted on the wall in the Museum. Photo by Anne O'Brien-Kakley.
