The next meeting of the Book Discussion Group will be Sunday, February 11 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. The group is discussing The Glass Universe by Dava Sobel. This fascinating account details the lesser known facts about the women of the Harvard Observatory who contributed their computational skills to the study of the universe in the mid-nineteenth century. Their work forever changed our understanding of the stars. Dava Sobel is the award-winning author of Longitude and Galileo’s Daughter.
Copies of the book are available at the adult circulation desk. Everyone is welcome to attend, and light refreshments are served.
