SUMMARY:MAC Theater Presents Our Town
DESCRIPTION:Our Town\, the Thornton Wilder play\, is opening at the MAC on June 12. Directed by Pippa Asker\, the play is an exploration of everyday life\, love and loss in the fictional New England town of Grover’s Corners. Told through the eyes of the omniscient Stage Manager\, the play follows the daily routines of two neighboring families the Gibbses and the Webbs – as their children\, George and Emily\, grow up\, fall in love and confront the passage of time. With minimal scenery and a focus on language and imagination\, Our Town invites audiences to notice the beauty in ordinary moments – shared meals\, childhood friendships\, and small-town rituals – and to reflect on what it truly means to be alive. Simple in form but profound in impact\, the play remains one of the most beloved works in American theater. \nDon’t miss this community-packed show\, likely featuring someone you know appearing on stage. The cast includes Jade Beauregard\, Annie Belkin\, Ron Biever\, Jack Boesen\, Kristina Dahlene\, Charlotte DaRosa\, Jason DiMatteo\, David DiSandro\, Antonio Duarte\, Blake Gagne\, Zach Gagne\, Deane W. Johansen Jr.\, Cynthia Johnson\, Macy Kinney\, Suzanne Kokkins\, Matt Lynds\, Charlotte Osterday\, Charlotte Rider\, Margo Ruggiero\, Tom Slater\, Gary Sousa\, Genevieve Suman\, Fred Tanga\, Lou Tanga\, Donn Tyler\, and Harvey Ussach; with Stage Manager Marisa Biever\, Technical Director Steve McManus\, and Costumes by Ann-Marie Fredericks. \nThe show runs on Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays June 12 through June 28 at the MAC’s Anne Braitmayer Webb Theater at 80 Pleasant St. Marion. Friday and Saturday curtain is at 7:00 pm and Sunday matinee is at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $23 for MAC members and $28 for nonmembers and can be purchased at marionartcenter.org/events.
