Celebrating the 4th685 viewsMarion's annual fireworks display attracted several thousand people to the town's Silvershell Beach Park on Friday evening July, 3. The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor. Beachside Tribute735 viewsUMass Dartmouth's Kikele Drumming Ensemble performs as friends and relatives of Curtis Doherty joined forces with the Marion DPW to spruce up the Silvershell Beach bath house in Marion over the past several weekends, painting it with environmentally-friendly, low VOC paint. Curtis spent countless hours over his lifetime on Silvershell Beachs basketball court and last year teammates and friends designed and constructed granite and wood benches for the basketball court in Curtis memory.
