The shows start at 7:30 pm at Tabor’s Fireman Center for the Performing Arts in Hoyt Hall at 245 Front Street, Marion. Marion Fire Department 374 viewsSunday was a solemn day for the Tri-Town and its first responders as many gathered to honor Thomas Nye, 72, a 45-year veteran of the Marion Fire Department who died February 27 in the line of duty. Over 100 firefighters, police officers, and EMS personnel from the Tri-Town and beyond marched together down Route 6 in Mattapoisett on March 3 to pay their respects to their fallen comrade who suffered a cardiac arrest at home after assisting in a fire call the night before. Tour de Crème374 viewsThis year’s 4th annual Tour de Crème raised $12,000 for outdoor recreation in Mattapoisett! There were 350 riders consuming over 1,200 scoops of ice cream all for a good cause. While half the students head off for Survival, the others enjoy a week of equally challenging tasks of the 40-year tradition of SCOPE that gives students a chance to learn while learning about themselves and each other.
