Almost 100 guests turned out to help support the Lighthouse Fund, an endowment maintained by the ORR Tri-Town Education Foundation, which offers grants to students and teachers for educational projects that extend beyond their normal curriculum. Veteran’s Day 457 viewsOn November 12, members of the Mattapoisett community gathered together at Old Hammondtown Elementary School for their annual Veteran’s Day ceremony. Commander Michael Lamoureux served as emcee of the event while State Representative William Straus, Selectman Paul Silva, Veterans’ Agent Barry Denham and U.S. Navy Lieutenant Scott Burrill addressed the audience.
