Disaster Drill438 viewsFairhaven Fire Department hosted a full-scale exercise to improve emergency response in the region. Mattapoisett, Rochester, Dartmouth, Freetown, Acushnet, and New Bedford all responded to a disaster that simulated an accident between a school bus and an oil truck at Livesey Park in Fairhaven. With songs like "A-Train", "Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Cry Me a River", the Caberet is sure to be a hit. The Big Band Caberet will be held at the Mattapoisett Knights of Columbus hall on December 27 at 5:30 pm. River Road Flood438 viewsA rainstorm on March 29 and 30 wreaked havoc on Massachusetts, leaving the Commonwealth in a state of emergency. The real fall-out didnt arrive until March 31, when water tables reached record heights and dams in the region were tested to their maximum capacity. The Hathaway Pond Dam in Rochester needed reinforcement with sandbags and the area of Plumb Corner and Dexter Lane became a makeshift pond. The mob of over 200 carolers, including many Tri-Town residents, convened at the Dartmouth Mall to surprise shoppers with a medley of three holiday classics: "Deck the Halls", "Silent Night" and "Jingle Bells".
