Members of the Tri-Town Walk for Life team “Sole Survivors” kicked off their Christmas wreath fundraiser on Friday, November 28. Breakfast with Santa440 viewsMarion’s Police Brotherhood held its 3rd annual toy drive and pancake breakfast with Santa at Sippican School on December 6. Families were asked to bring new unwrapped toys, and in return they were given a delicious pancake breakfast and a photo with Santa. Metacomet440 viewsThe bronze sculpture “Metacomet” will be on display at the Mattapoisett Historical Museum for the next few weeks, on loan from artist David Englund. Englund has a penchant for the underdog, saying he chose Metacomet AKA King Phillip as his subject matter because of history’s bias against him. “I knew his history as a warrior and I know he wasn’t given a fair shake by the historians,” said Englund.
