Big Trucks442 viewsDespite the soggy weather on Saturday, May 11th, close to 100 kids of all ages came to Marion Recreation’s Kid’s Equipment Day held at Town Field on Main Street. Kids were able to climb and explore a fire truck, ambulance, bucket truck, police cruiser, street sweeper and construction vehicles. All children received a free fire hat or construction hat. Many volunteers were on hand to assist the kids and to answer any questions.

Junior High School Band annual outing at Six Flags New England on 5/11/13, three Scouts and their Adult Leaders went to Camp Cachalot from Friday (5/10/13) night until Sunday (5/12/13) morning for a backpacking adventure. Marion Natural History Museum442 viewsOn Wednesday, Dec. 10th, the Marion Natural History Museum afterschool group enjoyed working on crafts from nature and recycled materials. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this such a happy and fun-filled event. Many, many thanks to Grace Moran for her kind donation of frames complete with glass, which the students used to create their own masterpieces for gift-giving.
