Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride 468 viewsIt was a windy ride for the 120 participants of the 9th Annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on October 4. From Westport to Falmouth, cyclists rode either the 75-mile or 35-mile route to raise funds for the Buzzards Bay Coalition, bringing in nearly $90,000. 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot468 viewsThere were 31 registered runners for this year’s 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot for Marion Recreation on Sunday, November 22. The course takes runners from Tabor Academy down Front Street through the village and back again to Tabor. Christmas Wreath Sale 468 viewsTeam “Sole Survivor” held its annual Christmas wreath sale last weekend beginning on Black Friday, and they will continue to sell hand-decorated wreaths and crafts throughout this weekend while supplies last. Tabor Academy Polar Plunge468 viewsTabor Academy hosted its second annual Polar Plunge on Sunday, January 21 at Silvershell Beach to raise money for the school’s Special Olympics Young Athletes Program. Students from ‘fundraising rival’ Sandwich High also showed up, with scores of students and staff making a dash in and quickly out of the chilly waters. The plunge raised about $8,000.
