Old Rochester Regional Youth Football475 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Youth Football teams are hitting the fields hard in order to prepare for their upcoming 2012 season. This year marks the seventh year for the program. With over 150 players in the program, there are six teams and a dedicated staff of coaches and parents for a support system. Holiday House Tour and Tea475 viewsOn Saturday, December 8, the Sippican Women's Club hosted their Holiday House Tour and Tea celebrating both the holidays and the 200th anniversary of Handy's Tavern. Squash at Tabor475 viewsOn Saturday, January 4, 2013, Tabor Academy hosted Phillips Exeter Academy in a women’s junior varsity and varsity squash tournament. The Tabor team, which has almost 40 players, had a 1-2 record going into Saturday’s competition. Pinewood Derby475 viewsOn Saturday, March 2nd 2013, The Cubs Scout Pack 32 held a pinewood derby at the Community Hall of the Congregational Church in Marion. The results were 1st Lucas Marcolini, 2nd Brendan Hubbard, 3rd Nathaniel Bangs, and 4th Nate Robertson. All four move on to regional finals in New Bedford later this month. Big Trucks475 viewsDespite the soggy weather on Saturday, May 11th, close to 100 kids of all ages came to Marion Recreation’s Kid’s Equipment Day held at Town Field on Main Street. Kids were able to climb and explore a fire truck, ambulance, bucket truck, police cruiser, street sweeper and construction vehicles. All children received a free fire hat or construction hat. Many volunteers were on hand to assist the kids and to answer any questions.
