Sadie helps children learn to read every week at the library. In celebration of her birthday, the library will be collecting pet goods to be donated to a local animal shelter at the end of the month. 3rd Annual Bulldog Dash455 viewsAlmost 200 runners and walkers braved the autumn wind chill to turn out for the third annual ORR Bulldog Dash on Saturday, November 24. The dash was held to raise funds for the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the athletic department as well as to purchase equipment for the Cross Country teams. The Tabor team, which has almost 40 players, had a 1-2 record going into Saturday’s competition. Frank McNamee455 viewsFrank McNamee gave a talk on May 1 to the Marion Council on Aging entitled, “What’s in Your Attic?” at the Marion Police Station. He discussed many of the important objects that he discovered in attics of local homes and how much they were worth. He also appraised objects brought in by Council on Aging members as well as discussing the values of objects he brought in from his antiques shop. The speech was taped by the local cable station, ORCTV, channel 9 for Comcast, channel 36 for Verizon subscribers.
