Old Rochester Regional Youth Football490 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Youth Football teams are hitting the fields hard in order to prepare for their upcoming 2012 season. This year marks the seventh year for the program. With over 150 players in the program, there are six teams and a dedicated staff of coaches and parents for a support system. Plymouth Sands Trail Riders 490 viewsOn Sunday, October 28, the Plymouth Sands Trail Riders bike club held a hare scramble at the Mattapoisett landfill. The club, which boasts over 300 members from all around New England, had over 100 riders participate in the event. Riders from teens up to seniors took off for the 40 minute races around the 2.5 mile wooded track. Proceeds from the event will be part of an annual donation the club makes to fund cystic fibrosis research. Photo by Eric Tripoli

The girls went on a 16-2 run in the first quarter and never gave up their lead. The team improves to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the South Coast Conference. Klondike Derby490 viewsThe Klondike derby is a one-day competitive event at Camp Cachalot located in Myles Standish State Park, Carver, Massachusetts. The Klondike derby uses sledges and Klondike Gold Rush themes to compete in a multiple “Town” course, pitting each team’s skills and teamwork against the clock. The purposes of the derby are: first a grand outdoor winter adventure full of fun and surprises, and another way for Scout’s to test their basic camping and survival skills. This event is for Scouts only.
